Eduardo scored two goals in his career, the first as a Bangu player, and the second in 2003, while playing for Atlético-MG.[2]
On 3 May 2011, Eduardo signed a contract with Figueirense until the end of the 2011 season.[3] However, he was diagnosed with a heart condition in June after a month to join Figueirense and received a warning that it would be seriously deteriorated if he should decide to continue his career.
Eduardo eventually mentioned that he would retire from playing football.[4]
